Seeq is seeking an Application Engineer to design, build, and deliver repeatable, high-impact industry solutions on our platform. Your work will accelerate time-to-value for customers in process manufacturing industries like Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, and Power.
What You'll Do
- Author scalable solution components—accelerators, templates, calculators, KPIs, dashboards, and workflows—in Seeq Workbench, Organizer, and Data Lab.
- Package solutions for reuse with documentation, example datasets, validation plans, and success criteria.
- Lead pilots and scale-out projects to validate value, harden solution patterns, and transition to operations with customers and partners.
- Define solution success metrics and value hypotheses; measure and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
- Connect solutions to enterprise data ecosystems and downstream tools like SQL databases, data lakes, Databricks, Azure ML, AWS Lambda, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Partner with Industry Principals, Product Management, and Engineering to align solutions to the roadmap and influence prioritization.
- Support Product Marketing and Solution Consulting with credible demos, narratives, and go-to-market assets.
- Create enablement kits and mentor Seeq partners to scale delivery globally and in local languages.
- Gather field feedback and iterate on solution quality, usability, and learnability.
What We're Looking For
- Process manufacturing experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharma, Power, or related industries.
- Ability to translate operational objectives into analytics-driven workflows.
- Time series analytics proficiency, including feature engineering, event detection, asset segmentation, anomaly logic, and KPI design.
- Hands-on experience with historian and OT data platforms such as AVEVA PI, IP.21, DeltaV, Wonderware, or GE Proficy.
- Proven skills in creating solutions within Seeq (Workbench/Organizer/Data Lab).
- Experience working with Python and SQL for solution logic, automation, and packaging.
- Customer-facing delivery experience leading pilots and proofs-of-concept to production.
- Strong value articulation, scope management, and cross-functional alignment skills.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering, Applied Math, Data Analytics, or a related discipline—or equivalent relevant experience.
Nice to Have
- Industry-specific methods such as batch analytics (pharma), reliability analytics, energy/carbon accounting, or APC/optimization exposure.
- Familiarity with cloud/data platforms and modern industrial data architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks).
- Experience enabling partner ecosystems and creating reusable delivery assets like templates, playbooks, and training.
- Strong technical communication across subject matter expert, manager, and executive audiences.
- Proven experience in demos, workshops, and solution storytelling.
