Johnson Controls Inc. is looking for an Application Engineer Security to manage the technical lifecycle of our electronic security systems. You will be responsible for creating detailed documentation, configuring systems, and commissioning installations while collaborating closely with customers and project teams to meet specifications and uphold our safety-first culture.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and provide technical documentation, including Shop Drawings, As Built Drawings, Operation Manuals, and Programming Matrices.
- Ensure correct specification and material ordering based on project requirements.
- Ascertain design needs to help develop project scope and specifications.
- Collaborate with the customer, Sales Manager/Project Manager, and relevant parties to monitor work progress and expedite installation.
- Perform inspection, setup, testing, and commissioning of electronic security system installations (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, Intercoms/Public Address, Electronic Locks and Keys) and associated documentation.
- Ensure that company health and safety policies and procedures are promoted and practiced throughout the project operation.
- Carry out and encourage pro-active customer relations.
- Be available for on-site placement when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university, majoring in Electronics, Computer & Science, Instrumentations, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5 years of relevant experience in Installation, Configuration, or Servicing of one or more of the following: Lenel OnGuard, CCURE 900, AMAG, BVMS, Interlogix, PIDS, DSC, Kantech, HID.
- English proficiency (reading, writing, conversation) is essential.
- Computer literacy and Networking knowledge (Ms Windows, Linux, Office, LAN, Fiber Optic).
- Experience in civil and electrical construction works.
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate to vendors and make decisions using industry standard knowledge.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Nice to Have
- One or more certifications in Lenel Onguard, CCURE 9000, AMAG, or BVMS.
- Experience in AutoCAD or Revu BlueBeam.
