Join Genworth as an Application Developer, a key role on our IT team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions that form the foundation of our customer service. You'll support business needs by leading project builds, developing solutions, and establishing clear documentation.
What You'll Do
- Lead development and oversee testing while managing changes for supported applications.
- Translate simple and complex user stories into functional software.
- Create visual representations of logical business processes.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and fix production problems with an understanding of system SLAs.
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams across different time zones.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent certifications.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Application Development and data technologies.
- 6+ years of experience programming in Java, and web development frameworks (Angular, React).
- 4+ years of experience in developing, supporting, and consuming RESTful services and microservices.
- Experience with data visualization & analytics tools.
- Good understanding of Software Engineering principles.
- Flexibility and proven ability to deliver with constantly changing priorities.
- Continuous process improvement mindset.
- Understanding of health care or insurance businesses, products, services, and operations.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) is a plus.
