Responsibilities
- Improve animation processes by applying automation techniques and establishing efficient methods.
- Collaborate with fellow animation technical directors to streamline scene setups and reduce workflow complexity.
- Partner with lead animators to implement early-stage optimizations for shots and digital assets.
- Create, update, and manage custom scripts and utilities to support the animation department.
- Operate within and understand the studio's internal animation pipeline system.
- Contribute to the development of training resources for tools and specific workflows.
- Provide technical support to artists across all stages of the production process.
- Engage with pipeline engineers to assess and promote effective technical practices.
- Detect inefficiencies in current workflows and collaborate with teams to build solutions such as tools or scripts.
Compensation
The expected base pay range is $25.96 to $34.62 per hour in CAD. Final salary will vary based on qualifications, experience, education, credentials, and other relevant factors.
