Accesa is looking for an Android Software Engineer to develop and maintain a mobile point-of-sale application used by drivers to manage delivery operations for a major food manufacturing and distribution company across Europe. In this role, you will apply Agile methodologies to deliver value iteratively and collaborate closely with stakeholders to evolve the product.
What You'll Do
- Research, design, write, and test mobile applications using Agile software development methodologies.
- Actively support the improvement of the tech community by fostering and applying continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Engage with all stakeholders to gather feedback, align expectations, and collaboratively evolve the product.
- Identify and resolve challenges independently or in coordination with the team to ensure project progress.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in Android development within a professional software engineering environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin.
- Experience building Android applications using Kotlin and Java, with modern Android development practices and Android Jetpack libraries (ViewModel, DataStore, Navigation, Room), and Jetpack Compose for UI.
- Solid understanding of clean architecture and common Android architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM, MVI).
- Proficiency with version control systems and collaborative tooling (Git, Atlassian, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-module Android projects, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular), and a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
- Exposure to accessibility standards, localization, analytics, and UI enhancements (WorkManager, Paging, Lottie).
- German language skills.
