Amber is looking for a Senior Unity Engineer to take a foundational role in building a platform of apps for kids. This is a high-impact, non-gameplay engineering role focused on core architecture, designing systems, tools, and services used across multiple products.
What You'll Do
- Design architectures on a whiteboard alongside stakeholders, doing research and design before implementing core systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, modular, and reusable systems for non-gameplay systems used across multiple products.
- Act as the technical lead, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to deliver on team goals.
- Integrate with a team from the Client, communicating directly and proactively to ensure aligned collaboration.
- Own the release pipeline, managing all aspects of releasing new app versions on iOS and Android.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a portion in a lead capacity.
- Proficient in C# and object-oriented programming.
- Love for architecting systems, breaking down tasks, and estimating work.
- Track record of using Unity to build cross-platform mobile apps.
- Solid experience implementing mobile platform services, including in-app purchases, subscriptions, and analytics.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Experience building shared frameworks or SDKs used by multiple products.
- Experience creating native plugins for iOS and/or Android.
- Prior work integrating backend services and APIs.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining platforms.
- Familiarity with building dev tools and editor extensions.
