HSBC Group is looking for an Alternatives Transformation Business Analyst to lead business analysis and solution design for complex change initiatives within our Alternatives business. You will be instrumental in transforming front-to-back operating models, data governance, and platform capabilities.

What You'll Do

Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across complex change initiatives within Alternatives.
Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements using appropriate methodologies.
Ensure robust data governance and data quality standards across the Alternatives platform.
Lead solution design for key initiatives, including front-to-back operating models, portfolio management, valuation, and reporting solutions.
Work closely with technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable and compliant system designs.
Conduct thorough data analysis and business process mapping for current state processes and target state solutions.
Lead cross-functional architecture design sessions and working groups involving business, operations, and IT representatives.
Design and document business process models and workflows across multiple lines of business in Alternative Asset Management.

What We're Looking For

Experience in Asset Management or Alternatives with deep understanding of private markets (private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds).
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Solutions Architect within financial services or investment management.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including experience with SQL and other analytical tools.
Exposure to front-to-back operating models in Alternatives, with hands-on experience with leading alternatives asset management platforms.
Experience within a top-tier investment bank, asset manager, or alternatives-focused financial institution.

Nice to Have

Experience with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain in alternatives context.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business vision into technical and operational execution.
