  • Investigate existing regular operational tasks and design solutions for their AI-supported automation.
  • Help use observability data (metrics, logs, traces) to detect anomalies early and derive concrete measures to resolve incidents faster and avoid outages.
  • Work closely with the infrastructure team and gain deep insights into a highly scaled, globally deployed platform.
  • Gain valuable insights into the use of AI in operational IT processes and contextualize them within the current state of research.

What We're Looking For

  • Enrollment in a study of computer science or a comparable qualification.
  • Advanced studies and experience with AI/ML.
  • Knowledge of public cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Kubernetes platforms.

  • Enjoyment of data analysis and clean documentation.
  • Very good German or English language skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LLMs/Generative AI.
  • Knowledge of Rancher.
  • Experience with common observability stacks, e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Basic understanding of modern development processes and tooling (Git/GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps basics).
