PostHog is hiring an AI Product Engineer to build AI-powered tools and observability features from scratch. As a full-stack engineer leveraging LLMs, you’ll make PostHog 10x more powerful by shipping agentic AI applications integrated with real customer data.
What You'll Do
- Own products and features from beginning to end, including originating ideas, talking to users, testing MVPs, and iterating based on feedback.
- Collaborate with design when necessary, shipping and owning the basic UX using the company design system.
- Implement AI features, working with the PostHog AI team to integrate AI into products.
- Talk to users frequently, bounce ideas off them, and iterate with them on new features.
- Do support as the designated Support hero for your team each week, investigating and resolving customer issues.
- Write documentation for new features you build.
What We're Looking For
- Full-stack experience with relevant technologies – e.g. Python or similar, React or similar.
- Prior experience in AI workflow automation, copilots, or autonomous agent products.
- Ability to choose pragmatic architectures, ship quickly, and iterate based on real feedback.
- Strong sense for UX and product polish.
- Excellent communicator who thrives on collaboration across teams.
Nice to Have
- Have worked at a high-growth SaaS company before.
- Extensive knowledge of Django and/or TypeScript-based React.
- Experience building AI-native products or integrating AI into existing software.

This is a new team (Tasks) where you'll work with Peter. At PostHog, engineers choose what to work on, lead product teams, and make product decisions.
Work Mode
This role is globally remote for candidates distributed between GMT-8 and GMT+2. We are an async-first company prioritizing heads-down building time.
