Shape the foundation of responsible AI in a remote-first role focused on governance, safety, and compliance for large language models. You'll lead the design and implementation of technical controls that ensure our AI systems meet global standards and operate safely in regulated industries.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage an end-to-end AI governance program, including policies, risk assessments, control frameworks, and approval workflows across the model lifecycle.
- Translate regulations like the EU AI Act, GDPR, and DIFC DPL into enforceable technical safeguards within AI pipelines and client solutions.
- Build and maintain evaluation systems for LLMs and agents using golden datasets, adversarial testing, and A/B experiments to monitor hallucination, bias, privacy, and performance.
- Design and deploy real-time guardrails against prompt injection, PII exposure, and harmful content within LangChain, LangGraph, and CrewAI environments.
- Ensure audit readiness through comprehensive telemetry: data provenance, redacted logging, model cards, and decision traceability using observability platforms.
- Collaborate with security and privacy teams on DPIAs, data retention, DLP, and third-party risk assessments involving cloud and model providers.
- Lead red-teaming efforts and develop incident response plans for model safety failures and regressions.
- Review prompts, datasets, and fine-tuning workflows for compliance; define acceptance criteria and evaluation benchmarks.
- Train engineers and client teams, document best practices, and support audits by turning compliance into a strategic asset.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years in security, privacy, or ML governance, with at least 2 years focused on LLM systems.
- Proven experience with LLM platforms including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, LangChain, and Agno.
- Hands-on background in building evaluation frameworks, test sets, and scoring rubrics for model behavior and safety.
- Familiarity with AI and data protection regulations, and the ability to implement them as technical controls.
- Strong scripting skills in Python (Pydantic) and experience integrating compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization, access management, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate risk and guide teams toward compliant, practical solutions.
Preferred Experience
- Direct involvement in ISO 27001, ISO 42001, or SOC 2 audits.
- History of red-teaming LLMs for vulnerabilities like data leakage or jailbreaking.
- Work in regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare, or government.
- Regional experience in the UAE or Arabic language proficiency.
Environment & Benefits
This is a high-impact, remote role open to candidates in MENA and EU time zones. You’ll have flexible scheduling with at least 80% overlap with UAE hours, and optional in-person collaboration in Dubai. You’ll help define the direction of AI governance while working with modern tooling across cloud and MLOps environments.
