Act Digital is hiring a Junior Data Engineer/Big Data to join our Digital Transformation Pole. In this role, you will work alongside a team of data management experts to support our clients, specifically contributing to a Big Data platform evolution project for a major player in the insurance sector.

What You'll Do

• Generate application footprints from functional specifications using Python scripts and YAML configuration files.
• Automate the configuration of Big Data environments (cluster, resources, services) using platform-provided tools.
• Use Git for versioning and controlled deployment of configurations, contributing to provisioning workflow industrialization.
• Provide first-level support to platform-consuming projects, focusing on Python modules and environment onboarding.
• Intervene on data transformation jobs in PySpark as needed for project or platform evolutions.
• Write technical documentation, contribute to DevOps best practices, and propose improvements to existing processes.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of a Bac+5 program (Engineering School, University, or equivalent) in computer science.
• Minimum 2 years of experience within a data/big data team in an Agile environment.
• Mastery of development in Python, Spark, and Git.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure environment.
• Good communication skills and proven analytical and synthesis abilities.
• A value for staying up-to-date with technology trends and dedicating time to it.
