Sixth Street is seeking an Accounting Senior Analyst to join a growing team primarily responsible for the accounting and reporting functions for the Sixth Street Management Companies. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments and contribute to the efficiency of our core financial operations.
What You'll Do
- Assist with accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle.
- Perform a detailed monthly review of all P&L activity by Business Unit.
- Assist with the process to produce financial reporting deliverables for external parties and management.
- Assist with the expense allocation close process, including reviewing booked expenses and understanding allocation methodologies.
- Assist with the employee allocations process.
- Interact with different departments across the firm including Deal Team, Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning & Strategy, Tax, and Accounts Payable.
- Help develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes.
- Continuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practice.
- Manage and perform special projects and analysis for leadership.
What We're Looking For
- An Accounting or Finance degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles.
- Well-versed in Excel with G/L and reporting experience.
- Strong technical, organizational, communication (both oral and written), and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices.
- Project management skills to prioritize and focus when various work streams are occurring concurrently.
- A detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive approach.
Nice to Have
- Professional certifications such as a CPA or equivalent.
- Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting.
- Experience with Alteryx.
