About the Role

EVIDENT Europe GmbH is looking for an Accounting Manager EMEA (m/f/d) to coordinate closing activities, manage accounting processes, and support global systems harmonization. You will be a key player in our multinational matrix organization, based in Hamburg.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate closing activities between internal functions, our centralized accounting team, and external service providers.
  • Collaborate closely with the EMEA Finance, Treasury & Tax department.
  • Own payroll & pension accounting, partnering directly with HR.
  • Manage account and subledger reconciliations.
  • Oversee deferrals and accruals.
  • Manage external providers for IFRS vs. local GAAP translation where required.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end audit process with external auditors.
  • Provide regular updates to local management on key variances in financial statements.
  • Support global systems and process harmonization initiatives, such as OneStream implementation.
  • Actively engage in improvement initiatives like working capital optimization and process automation.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Accounting with a focus on IFRS / HGB.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in comparable roles.
  • Proven track record in managing closing, consolidation, and audit processes.
  • Practical, hands-on experience at a management level in all major accounting topics.
  • Strong problem-solving mentality.
  • Experience managing shared service centers or third-party providers.
  • A business partner mindset and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Team player comfortable working in a multinational matrix organization.
  • Fluent in both English and German.
