EVIDENT Europe GmbH is looking for an Accounting Manager EMEA (m/f/d) to coordinate closing activities, manage accounting processes, and support global systems harmonization. You will be a key player in our multinational matrix organization, based in Hamburg.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate closing activities between internal functions, our centralized accounting team, and external service providers.
- Collaborate closely with the EMEA Finance, Treasury & Tax department.
- Own payroll & pension accounting, partnering directly with HR.
- Manage account and subledger reconciliations.
- Oversee deferrals and accruals.
- Manage external providers for IFRS vs. local GAAP translation where required.
- Coordinate the end-to-end audit process with external auditors.
- Provide regular updates to local management on key variances in financial statements.
- Support global systems and process harmonization initiatives, such as OneStream implementation.
- Actively engage in improvement initiatives like working capital optimization and process automation.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting with a focus on IFRS / HGB.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in comparable roles.
- Proven track record in managing closing, consolidation, and audit processes.
- Practical, hands-on experience at a management level in all major accounting topics.
- Strong problem-solving mentality.
- Experience managing shared service centers or third-party providers.
- A business partner mindset and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Team player comfortable working in a multinational matrix organization.
- Fluent in both English and German.
