About the Role
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves overseeing a team of accounting professionals, managing budgets, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
- Manage the budgeting process, including the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets.
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
- Oversee the fixed asset management process, including the acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of assets.
- Manage the inventory management process, including the tracking and valuation of inventory.
- Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, including the analysis of variances and the development of corrective actions.
- Manage the cash management process, including the forecasting and management of cash flows.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Manage the implementation of new accounting software or systems, including the training of staff and the migration of data.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements for regulatory filings, including the analysis of financial ratios and the development of corrective actions.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements for internal and external audits, including the coordination of audit schedules and the resolution of audit findings.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements for tax filings, including the analysis of tax liabilities and the development of tax strategies.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements for regulatory compliance, including the analysis of compliance requirements and the development of corrective actions.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements for internal reporting, including the analysis of financial performance and the development of corrective actions.

- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on audit and tax services.

- Experience in the preparation of financial statements for regulatory filings, including the analysis of financial ratios and the development of corrective actions.

- Experience in the preparation of financial statements for tax filings, including the analysis of tax liabilities and the development of tax strategies.
