KIPP New Jersey Public Schools is a non-profit network of college-preparatory, free, public charter schools serving elementary, middle, and high school students in Newark, Camden, and Paterson, New Jersey. Founded in 2002, KIPP NJ is part of the nationally recognized "Knowledge Is Power Program" network, dedicated to providing a world-class education to students from underserved communities.
The organization emphasizes highly effective teaching, a safe and nurturing environment, and strong family engagement. With more time in school and a focus on both academics and character development, KIPP prepares students for success in college, career, and beyond. Through KIPP Forward, alumni receive ongoing support to achieve fulfilling lives and break through barriers.
Over 90% of KIPP New Jersey students qualify for free or reduced-price meals, and the network is committed to equity and social justice. By 2027, KIPP NJ aims to serve over 9,300 students across 19 schools, empowering them to become lifelong learners and future leaders.
