NEXTDC is hiring a Wintel and Active Directory Engineer

As our Wintel & AD Engineer you’ll oversee the management and optimisation of NEXTDC computing and storage infrastructure, including Active Directory, Windows Server environments, and Hyper-V virtualisation. Here you will drive the overall health and performance of NEXTDC systems, designing solutions for scalability and high availability, supporting Azure integrations, and managing storage solutions. ​ Within this position, your scope will cover: - Designing and implementing scalable solutions for Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, and Hyper-V virtualisation - Overseeing the architecture, maintenance, and optimisation of Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and FSMO roles - Developing and testing disaster recovery plans, manage backups, configure failover clusters, and ensure minimal downtime in case of system failures. - Monitoring system health and provide advanced troubleshooting for complex system issues; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks - Leading automation initiatives using PowerShell to streamline system management and improve operational efficiency.​ - Executing security measures, including role-based access control, encryption (BitLocker), and compliance with auditing standards - Performing patch management using WSUS or SCCM, ensuring secure and timely deployment of updates and addressing vulnerabilities.​
