At the beginning of each shift, promptly review the work schedule, inspect equipment and supplies needed for the scheduled tasks, and prepare for operations.
Assess technical or physical status using service documents and reviewing product improvement and support programs.
Verify findings by reviewing readings and procedures, and compare them to manufacturer specifications.
Develop a plan to resolve issues, consulting with coworkers or the lead man when needed.
Order parts from stock or send them to a special service shop for appropriate tooling or alterations.
Install, replace, rebuild, or repair parts and equipment in a timely manner and according to specifications.
Test the part or equipment and perform a quality check after completing the work.
Paint components and pressure wash parts and equipment when necessary.
Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
At the end of each shift, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork.
Work to ensure departmental compliance with all safety and contamination control guidelines.

Successful completion of a welder apprentice program or three years of welding experience.
Ability to read and comprehend regulations and instructions written in the locally applicable language(s).
Demonstrate good oral communication skills.
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
Must be certified in FCAW-3G or possess the ability to pass the FCAW-3G certification test.
Basic keyboarding skills.
A valid driver's license.
Must complete the in-house forklift training program.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
