The Welcoming Neighbors Network is hiring a Communications Associate to help execute a range of communications tactics and administrative functions for our new strategic communications hub. This role works collaboratively in a four-person team to support pro-housing policy communication efforts across the nation.
What You'll Do
- Draft deliverables such as newsletters, website copy, and fact sheets.
- Design graphics for social media, websites, and action alerts.
- Create decks and template graphics to communicate new polling, messaging research, and policy updates.
- Research and synthesize developments and trends across news and digital media platforms.
- Develop and schedule content across social media platforms and coordinate digital ad campaigns for partners.
- Coordinate and execute monitoring, measurement, and reporting processes for social and earned media campaigns.
- Provide administrative and project management support, including scheduling meetings, recording notes, supporting events/webinars, updating databases, and tracking timelines.
- Maintain knowledge of pro-housing policy developments and proactively suggest communications tactics.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to work well under a fast-paced campaign environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to turn around high-quality and error-free written content quickly.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization skills, and time management.
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.
- Experience with social media management platforms such as Sprout Social, Buffer, or Hubspot.
- Zeal for organizational goals and strategies, including passing pro-housing policy and supporting local advocates.
- Strong understanding or willingness to develop a strong understanding of housing policy.

You will be part of a four-person team within the Welcoming Neighbors Network Communications Hub, reporting to the Director of the Communications Hub.

- Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000
