About the Role

Leads the planning, coordination, and supervision of water system operations including treatment, distribution, and maintenance activities. Ensures efficient service delivery, regulatory adherence, and long-term infrastructure sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations of water treatment and distribution facilities
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of pipelines, pumps, and related infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local water quality regulations
  • Manage capital improvement projects related to water systems
  • Supervise technical and administrative staff across multiple divisions
  • Develop and monitor operational budgets and financial forecasts
  • Coordinate emergency response during system outages or natural disasters
  • Implement water conservation and efficiency initiatives
  • Prepare performance reports for senior management and city officials
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system design and upgrades
  • Conduct performance evaluations and professional development for staff
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols across all field operations
  • Monitor water quality testing and reporting procedures

  • Optimize energy use across pumping and treatment processes
