Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of construction packages, including design documents, technical reports, cost estimates, and alternatives assessments.
- Create conceptual designs for water infrastructure such as dams, levees, floodwalls, channels, culverts, detention basins, and access roads, integrating erosion controls, geosynthetics, and surface or subsurface piping systems.
- Lead engineering efforts in the planning, analysis, design, and construction of water resource systems.
- Act as lead engineer or technical lead on medium to large-scale engineering projects.
- Collaborate with current and prospective clients to deliver sustainable stormwater management strategies.
- Develop proposals to expand capabilities and support growth in water resources services.
- Guide and mentor technical team members in executing project tasks efficiently.
- Conduct independent technical reviews of engineering analyses, designs, and reports, and authorize final approval.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams of five or more members, including subcontractors.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate specific engineering phases, with a focus on stormwater management initiatives.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, along with drainage and civil design tasks.
- Prepare and review construction drawings, cost estimates, technical studies, and related engineering documentation.
- Design and analyze stormwater drainage networks, hydraulic structures, and roadway drainage systems.
- Perform independent engineering work and review technical outputs produced by others.
- Present engineering solutions and design recommendations to internal teams and external clients.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
- Maintain clear and effective written and verbal communication throughout project lifecycles.
