Responsibilities
- Serve as advisor to design teams
- Perform technical reviews for compliance with applicable design standards including USACE engineering regulations and manuals
- Assess trends in the marketplace and support business development activities related to water projects, including strategy, approach, and engineering fee
- Mentor and develop junior water process and design staff
- Participate in local and national professional organizations, including attending and presenting at conferences
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the planning, design, construction, and operation of civil, structural and/or geotechnical design and review of major water projects including levees, dams, floodwalls, seawalls, gates and gate-wells, pump stations, conveyance channels
- Ability to perform technical reviews to verify that design documents are in compliance with applicable design standards including USACE engineering regulations and manuals
