Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team covering machine learning, platform, and product engineering
- Own delivery by setting roadmaps with product and research leadership, driving execution, and maintaining high standards for quality and speed
- Collaborate with the CTO on system architecture, technical strategy, and build-versus-buy decisions
- Establish scalable engineering processes including planning cycles, code review standards, incident response, and on-call practices
- Ensure systems meet reliability, security, and compliance requirements for enterprise financial customers, such as SOC 2, data governance, and auditability
- Recruit senior engineering talent and design the organizational structure for the next growth phase
- Represent engineering with customers, partners, and investors as needed
- Manage effectively across a globally distributed team and multiple time zones
