About the Role
The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits strategies that align with organizational goals, support talent retention, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of compensation strategies across all employee groups
- Oversee benefits program design, enrollment, and vendor management
- Ensure pay equity and adherence to federal and state regulations
- Analyze market data to maintain competitive positioning
- Manage annual compensation planning cycles, including merit and bonus processes
- Collaborate with HR and finance leaders on budgeting and forecasting
- Develop job evaluation frameworks and job architecture
- Administer executive compensation programs
- Lead compliance efforts for ERISA, ACA, FLSA, and other applicable regulations
- Oversee third-party administrator relationships for health and retirement plans
- Design and communicate total rewards statements
- Support organizational changes such as expansions or restructuring
- Ensure data security and confidentiality of employee compensation records
- Partner with HR business partners to resolve complex employee issues
- Conduct internal audits of pay practices
- Develop dashboards and metrics to track program effectiveness
- Manage external consultant engagements for benchmarking and compliance
- Lead change management during benefits transitions
- Promote employee understanding of total rewards through clear communication
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes
- Support DEI initiatives through equitable compensation practices
- Ensure scalability of programs as the organization grows
- Maintain documentation for audits and accreditation
- Foster a culture of transparency and trust around pay decisions
- Evaluate new technology platforms for compensation and benefits administration
