About the Role
The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key strategic partner, managing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring compliance, and guiding decision-making through accurate reporting and forward-looking analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of long-term financial strategies
- Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders
- Manage relationships with auditors and ensure audit readiness
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Supervise internal controls and risk mitigation practices
- Collaborate with executives on strategic decision-making
- Evaluate financial performance across programs and initiatives
- Guide capital allocation and investment decisions
- Oversee cash flow management and liquidity planning
- Lead special financial projects and system implementations
- Support grant and donor reporting requirements
- Manage finance team development and performance
- Ensure proper tax compliance and filings
- Partner with program leaders on financial planning
- Assess organizational scalability through financial modeling
- Monitor changes in tax and nonprofit regulations
- Improve financial systems and reporting tools
- Provide insights through data analysis and KPI tracking
- Represent finance in board meetings and presentations
- Drive process improvements across financial operations
- Ensure accurate grant accounting and compliance
- Oversee payroll and general ledger functions
- Maintain strong internal audit protocols
- Support mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships when applicable
