Responsibilities
- Perform instructional tasks such as teaching assignments, course and program preparation and revision, practicum placement, student contact, advising, evaluation and marking of student work, and other instruction-related functions.
- Carry out professional duties including curriculum development, student registration, and pre-registration tasks.
- Engage in professional development activities aimed at enhancing teaching excellence, subject area competence, and technical expertise in the relevant professional or instructional field.
- Provide service through school visitations, participation on college committees, attendance at articulation meetings, representing the college at other functions, and performing administrative and other duties.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Current active registration with the BCCNM.
- Five or more years of experience in acute, long-term, and/or community care.
Nice to Have
- A Master’s Degree.
- A Diploma in Nursing may be considered with relevant experience.
- An Instructor’s Diploma, which will be required following appointment in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
- Experience in pediatrics, mental health, or obstetrics.
- Recent teaching experience.
Compensation
Normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85,897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.

- Based on operational requirements, this on-call position may be assigned to support the Practical Nursing program, the Health Care Assistant program, or both.
