Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments including ESXi and vCenter components
- Monitor virtual infrastructure, diagnose issues, and optimize system performance
- Oversee the full lifecycle of virtual machines, from provisioning to decommissioning
- Assist with backup and recovery operations using tools such as Veeam or equivalent
- Perform patching and version upgrades for VMware software and services
- Resolve complex incidents and problems as part of second- and third-level support
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and operational procedures
- Work closely with infrastructure, networking, and security teams on integrated solutions
- Provide technical support for virtualization and datacenter modernization projects
- Deploy, manage, and migrate Nutanix cloud platforms including AOS, AHV, storage, and networking
- Administer Nutanix Prism for centralized cloud management and monitoring
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform
- Drive standardization of operations through automated workflow solutions
- Plan, design, and implement complex IT systems from commissioning through operation
- Execute advanced technical assignments requiring in-depth system knowledge
- Contribute to the development of decision-making documents and technical designs
- Install, configure, and maintain operational and monitoring tools
- Design and refine service delivery models and operational strategies
- Coordinate and supervise order fulfillment processes
- Ensure compliance with defined service level agreements
- Produce and update technical and procedural documentation
Requirements
- Experience managing VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter)
- Proven ability in monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning virtualized systems
- Hands-on lifecycle management of virtual machines
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools such as Veeam or similar
- Track record in patching and upgrading VMware components
- Experience resolving incidents at second- or third-line support level
- Strong documentation skills for procedures and system configurations
- Collaboration with cross-functional infrastructure and security teams
- Support experience in virtualization and datacenter-related projects
