Job Description
Depending on your experience and skills, you will be assigned responsibilities from the duties listed below, based on business needs and priorities.
IT Coordination and Administration
Local coordination of central IT initiatives
Local ownership of IT-related processes and enabling of the local organization in said processes
Tracking, analyzing, and planning support of IT cost; coordination of measures controlling cost development
Communication of changes in IT for local business
Management of IT service factors such as licenses and subscriptions
Development of support tools for the local organization
Critically evaluate proposed solutions and changes from central IT and external suppliers against local requirements; escalate or push back where technical fit, security, or standards are insufficient
Architecture Design and Security Consulting
Develop and maintain IT architecture plans and security protocols aligned with organizational goals and Bosch standards
Provide consulting services for on-premise and cloud solutions, including system design, implementation, and optimization
Collect user requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and coordinate with internal suppliers for swift solution rollout
Conduct security assessments, design and implement security measures, and provide expert consultation to stakeholders
Operations and Information Management
Monitor locally operated systems and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of configurations and operational state
For the infrequent cases where the team owns a solution end-to-end: design, implement, operate, and decommission, including full documentation and security responsibility
Track the status of centrally supplied services in local use; flag issues and follow up with central IT to resolution
Stay updated on central IT solution changes and communicate updates to departments and end users
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Background
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable experience
Project management experience; experience in Agile methodologies is preferred
Experience with MS Office and cloud solutions
Proficiency in various programming languages and scripting tools
Preferred:
Experience in IT architecture design and implementation
Background in information security, risk management, and compliance
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, network protocols, security technologies, and cloud security architecture
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Some experience with commercial aspects of business administration
Languages
Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory
Spoken Japanese is mandatory (N2 level)
German language skills are preferred

Strong enough technical foundation to assess proposals, identify gaps, and hold internal and external suppliers accountable
Intercultural communication skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
