- Contribute to the college’s core curriculum
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students, especially first-generation college students

- Design real-world learning opportunities leveraging Boston location and connections with Suffolk Law School
- Contribute to community-engaged teaching and experiential education
Requirements
- Hold a JD by July 2026 (combination JD and PhD in a relevant field also invited)
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent teaching and scholarly potential
- Commitment to inclusive pedagogy and curricular diversity
- Ability to conduct impactful research
Nice to Have
- Teaching and research focus on equity and inclusion in the law
- Specialization in contracts, family law, domestic violence, employment law, intellectual property, immigration law, or related fields
- Experience teaching legal research and writing
- Experience working with paralegals or supervising legal staff
- Experience teaching undergraduates

Department Context
The Department of Political Science & Legal Studies includes undergraduate majors in Political Science, International Relations and Undergraduate Law, a Paralegal Studies Certificate and Associates Degree Program (for Non-Lawyer Legal Professionals) as well as Master of Arts degrees in Applied Public Policy and Global Public Policy. Faculty are teacher scholars with a strong commitment to student development by providing high quality instruction to a diverse student body. Initiatives such as Suffolk Votes reflect the department’s key role in Suffolk’s Community Engagement Carnegie Classification. Faculty leverage Boston location for real-world learning at the Court House and State House, and have close connections with Suffolk Law School and the Center for Restorative Justice.
