SOCi is hiring a Vice President, Brand and Market Strategy

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine the company's market category story, strategic positioning, and core messaging framework.
  • Articulate a compelling and distinct perspective that emphasizes the urgency, relevance, and unique value proposition.
  • Maintain narrative alignment across brand, product, sales, and executive communication channels.
  • Influence how industry analysts, media, customers, and broader markets perceive the organization.
  • Lead the brand strategy, including identity, tone, and expression across all digital and physical platforms.
  • Ensure brand consistency and quality in digital experiences, marketing campaigns, events, and customer touchpoints.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team focused on brand and creative output.
  • Oversee earned and owned media strategies to enhance market credibility and leadership visibility.
  • Determine the strategic use of channels such as LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, PR, and industry publications.
  • Develop a continuous content engine that supports brand messaging and engages enterprise decision-makers.
  • Lead thought leadership initiatives, including original research, data-driven insights, and executive viewpoints.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to amplify organizational voice through social media, speaking events, and press.
  • Direct communications strategy encompassing media outreach, analyst relations, and corporate messaging.
  • Enhance executive presence via keynotes, published articles, media interviews, and industry engagement.
  • Ensure the organization maintains a strong, unique market voice.
  • Lead and develop the Product Marketing team, including management of a senior director and staff.
  • Align product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market plans with overarching market strategy.
  • Provide strategic guidance on messaging frameworks.
  • Provide strategic guidance on product launches and organizational preparedness.
  • Provide strategic guidance on sales enablement and competitive differentiation.
  • Step in to lead high-priority product launches, strategic customer engagements, and executive storytelling.
  • Serve as a senior advocate for the product both internally and externally when required.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, and Customer Success to align messaging across the customer lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment between brand narrative, product communication, and revenue goals.
  • Inform executive decisions using market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid — Vancouver, BC, Toronto, ON

  • This role is fully remote until the Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON offices are operational. Once offices are established, the role may shift to a hybrid model with 50% remote and 50% in-office work.
