Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians in delivering medical care and surgical procedures, along with various clinical duties as required.
- Help during outpatient visits by gathering patient histories, measuring vital signs, recording weights, and guiding clients with educational support.
- Ready animals for surgical procedures and oversee their vital functions throughout operations.
- Collect blood, fecal, and other biological samples; conduct in-house lab analyses and prepare specimens for external testing.
- Capture digital X-ray images while adhering to established radiation safety protocols.
- Handle and restrain animals appropriately during examinations to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Deliver and supervise medications, anesthetic agents, vaccinations, and therapeutic treatments under veterinary supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in exam rooms, treatment zones, and lab spaces; replenish supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to keep public areas tidy and ensure medical tools and devices are cleaned and properly maintained.
- Show empathy, respect, and professionalism in all client interactions and provide gentle, attentive care to patients.
- Exchange information clearly with veterinarians and team members regarding patient status, treatment plans, and client feedback.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervising staff.
