Responsibilities
- Support driver check-in and check-out processes and help prepare orders
- Assist warehouse staff with receiving shipments and selecting and distributing products to vending routes
- Track daily meter readings and monitor inventory accountability at both machine and truck levels
- Train route drivers on operating handheld scanners, performing minor machine repairs, adhering to security protocols for cash and inventory, and completing required training
- Perform route driver tasks when needed
- Conduct ride-alongs with drivers to verify adherence to company policies and procedures
- Inspect delivery trucks for cleanliness, compliance with layout standards, and mechanical and safety conditions
- Evaluate vending machines for compliance with layout plans, appropriate stock levels, cleanliness, and product expiration dates
- Help create or adjust route schedules as needed
- Work with other departments to enhance operational processes and efficiency
- Promote a workplace culture centered on safety to minimize accidents and injuries
- Exercise leadership in alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements
- Conduct employee interviews, provide coaching and training, assign and oversee work, evaluate performance, recommend rewards or disciplinary actions, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues to management
