Seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the design of scalable, collaborative online learning experiences. The candidate will own major design initiatives from problem discovery through implementation, collaborating closely with product management and engineering in an iterative, user-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, social, and interactive online learning platforms used by large enterprises, universities, and training providers
- Lead 1-2 major design projects simultaneously, guiding solutions from initial problem exploration to final implementation
- Collaborate with product management to define problems, scope projects, explore design alternatives, and provide well-justified recommendations
- Deliver production-ready design mockups and assets, working hand-in-hand with engineers to balance design quality and technical feasibility
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions and understand user needs
- Proactively address challenges by aligning stakeholders, proposing solutions, and adjusting project scope when necessary
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning to help shape the future direction of the platform
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing digital products used by large user bases and clients
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex real-world problems with strategic, user-centered design solutions
- Proficient in the full range of design methods including wireframing, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, user interviews, and usability testing
- Advanced skills in Figma, including use of components, design libraries, and collaborative features
- Experience working within and evolving design systems to maintain visual and interaction consistency
- Strong visual design skills with meticulous attention to detail and precision in execution
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design practices
- Experience designing responsive web and mobile interfaces
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and development constraints to enable effective collaboration with engineering
Nice to Have
- Experience designing AI-driven features that improve user workflows or enable personalized experiences
- Familiarity with generative AI tools to enhance design efficiency and exploration
- Ability to independently lead projects from problem definition to execution, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive decisions with minimal oversight, especially in ambiguous or evolving contexts
- Skilled at building strong partnerships with cross-functional teammates across product, engineering, and other disciplines, regardless of experience level
- Capable of clearly communicating complex design concepts, anticipating concerns, and facilitating discussions that lead to clear outcomes
- Adaptable in problem-solving, maintaining focus on core objectives while adjusting to new information or shifting priorities
- Strong user empathy and intuition, balancing data insights with cognitive understanding to make confident design decisions even with limited research
