Responsibilities
- Oversee utilization management activities for the organization
- Educate staff on proper documentation practices, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and transition or discharge plans
- Advise staff on necessary adjustments to meet service guidelines, fidelity reviews, and licensing standards
- Instruct staff on correctly submitting registration, authorization, and discharge requests
- Conduct utilization management reviews, including monitoring on-hold reports, and facilitate resolution of pending authorizations
- Monitor service usage and adherence to contractual obligations
- Support the coordination of external audits
- Create and implement corrective action plans as needed
- Perform regular testing of electronic medical record system functionality
Requirements
- Licensed as LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LAPC
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to train others
