Paired is hiring a US Tax Accountant for a client company. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for meticulous tax preparation, compliance, and strategic planning for a varied portfolio of clients, including entrepreneurs and small business owners. You will ensure clients' tax obligations are handled with integrity and accuracy while fostering strong client relationships.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for clients, ensuring adherence to current tax regulations.
- Review client financials to identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance issues.
- Maintain organized records in alignment with IRS requirements, ready for audits if necessary.
- Communicate effectively via email with clients to gather needed information and clarify tax-related questions.
- Utilize Canopy CRM to manage tax projects efficiently, translating client communications into actionable tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on tax-related projects and deadlines.
- Monitor client inbox and respond to inquiries or delegate tasks as necessary.
- Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and implement these updates into client practices.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a US Tax Accountant, preferably with 3+ years in tax preparation for individuals and businesses.
- Active CPA or EA credential.
- Deep knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail-oriented tax processing.
- Exceptional written communication skills to effectively engage with clients via email.
- Proficiency in Canopy CRM or similar tax technology platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
