Responsibilities
- Design UI elements such as input controls, navigational components, and informational components for software applications.
- Translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns, and attractive user interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers to interpret overall layout and user flows.
- Maintain and evolve our design system and component library in Figma, ensuring consistency across all product interfaces.
- Work with developers to ensure accurate, high-quality implementation of visual designs.
- Leverage AI tools to assist with design ideation, content generation, and workflow efficiency.
- Perform user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance and tweak designs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Occasionally contribute to product concept development and participate in focus groups to gather user insights and inform design decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Proven UI design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating product design work and high-quality digital interfaces.
- Proficiency in Figma as a primary design tool, including components, auto-layout, and prototyping.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- A product design mindset — able to think beyond aesthetics to consider usability, user flows, and how design decisions impact the overall product experience.
- Comfortable working within an agile software development lifecycle, specifically Scrum, including sprint planning, reviews, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience using AI tools within the design workflow is a strong plus.
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (is a plus, not mandatory).

Hybrid — Leeds
