Responsibilities
- Transcribes written, handwritten, or dictated content following detailed source materials
- Produces and formats official documents such as letters, forms, transcripts, invoices, and reports
- Provides limited-scope administrative support to a designated official
- Processes, types, and maintains records for applications, permits, and licenses
- Creates, reviews, and verifies records and reports for accuracy, completeness, and correct calculations
- Organizes, archives, and retrieves documents and lists as needed
- Performs basic calculations and prepares straightforward statistical summaries
- Manages filing systems for correspondence, memos, reports, and related materials
- Indexes files and carries out routine recordkeeping functions
- Coordinates meeting and appointment schedules; enters facility usage data
- Operates office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and mailing devices, and performs or arranges routine maintenance
- Serves as the front-desk contact for the Buildings and Grounds department
Other
- Must demonstrate typing proficiency through prior work experience, relevant coursework, or a typing waiver indicating at least 35 words per minute
- Clerical experience may substitute for high school education on a year-for-year basis, but typing proof remains mandatory

- Position provides administrative support to Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, Finance, and Student Affairs divisions
- Work consists mainly of routine clerical tasks requiring full-time or significant part-time computer use for data input and retrieval
- Tasks are performed under supervision using established procedures
- Supervisory guidance is available for unusual situations and complex assignments
- Initiative and readiness to learn are necessary for handling increasingly complex duties
- Performs additional related duties as assigned
