QualDerm Partners is hiring a Triage Specialist to provide effective telephone triage and support for dermatology patients. You will be the first point of contact, managing patient inquiries, scheduling, and emergent situations remotely, all while supporting our mission to educate, protect, and care for skin health.
What You'll Do
- Answer phones and return voicemails to handle patient questions and route calls.
- Relay and manage stat emergent situations and pathology results, navigating the EMA/EMR system.
- Schedule new patients, create charts and notes, and schedule various surgeries according to provider guidelines.
- Explain Mohs procedures to patients and complete pre-operative assessments.
- Prioritize skin cancers based on type, size, location, and aggressive nature.
- Document all patient conversations appropriately in the EMR system.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or higher.
- 3+ years minimum experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with phone triage, understanding surgical procedures, common pathology diagnoses, charting, and patient scheduling.
Nice to Have
- CCMA or RMA certification is preferred.
