About the Role
The technician conducts on-site quality inspections of concrete installations, documents findings, and collaborates with construction teams to maintain quality standards across multiple project sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site inspections of concrete placement and finishing
- Verify materials meet project specifications and industry standards
- Document test results and inspection reports accurately
- Conduct slump, air content, and temperature tests on fresh concrete
- Monitor proper curing methods and environmental conditions
- Identify and report non-conforming work to supervisors
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during field operations
- Travel to various construction sites as project demands
- Coordinate with project engineers and field supervisors
- Maintain organized records of quality control data
- Use hand tools and testing equipment for field assessments
- Assist in resolving quality issues with corrective actions
- Follow project schedules and adapt to changing site conditions
- Communicate findings clearly to construction personnel
- Support quality assurance processes across multiple locations
Nice to Have
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification
- OSHA 10 certification
- Experience with industrial or commercial construction
- Previous work on large-scale construction projects
- Familiarity with electronic reporting systems
