What You'll Do
Support drivers and operations teams by delivering timely instructions, including pickup and delivery details, appointment times, and route updates. Monitor load progress, track estimated arrival times, and stay alert for delays, vehicle issues, or hours-of-service constraints.
Respond professionally to in-transit challenges, helping drivers resolve problems efficiently. Confirm shipment appointments and verify that freight matches documentation to prevent errors. Accurately estimate unloading and layover durations to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Log all load-related documents—such as bills of lading and proof of delivery—into the transportation management system. Track detention, layover, and no-use opportunities, and maintain clear, up-to-date notes for each shipment. Send regular check calls and provide status updates to keep all parties informed.
Communicate changes or delays to brokers promptly and maintain respectful, professional relationships with shippers and third-party partners.
