Frontier Agriculture is hiring a Trainee Agronomist

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full integrated service for crop production covering nutrition, protection, and legislative guidance.
  • Understand end markets and advise on suitable management strategies for those markets.
  • Work with stakeholders and internal teams to fulfill customer orders while ensuring excellent service.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of company products and services to boost commercial success, maintain quality, and strengthen customer ties.
  • Conduct regular crop walks to build strong customer relationships and understand their changing needs.
  • Collaborate with Trials and Technical Support teams to support initiatives and improve product and customer knowledge.
  • Engage with experienced commercial managers to build technical expertise and commercial awareness.
  • Work closely with colleagues to identify new opportunities, build relationships, and encourage a collaborative approach to customer engagement.
  • Understand environmental factors and schemes, and help customers manage them effectively at the farm level.
  • Manage customer relationships successfully to ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to create and execute a business plan for the assigned area.
  • Proactively seek new customers and expand the company's customer base.

Requirements

  • Ability, skills, and desire to develop a career in agronomy.
  • Ability to build outstanding professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of initiative with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Personal ambition, tenacity, and resilience to succeed in a sales role.
