Responsibilities
- Support the Department Manager in managing daily shop priorities and assigning tasks to team members.
- Convey duties and performance expectations to crew members and Event Managers as instructed.
- Monitor task assignments and follow up to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Ensure the workspace remains organized, efficient, and clean.
- Enforce adherence to safety protocols and report any safety issues to supervisors.
- Conduct and support tracking of tools, equipment, and supplies used in shop and field events.
- Alert maintenance staff when equipment or facility repairs are required.
- Review event calendars and advise leadership on staffing and equipment requirements.
- Provide backup assistance during adjustment operations as necessary.
- Help set up, test, and monitor layout configurations and tracking processes.
- Coordinate logistics for event support with the Department Manager and Event Managers.
- Confirm that products and materials are properly loaded for transport.
- Provide feedback on employee performance, including recognition and areas needing improvement.
- Support inventory tracking efforts for research and development activities.
- Report updates to work procedures and checklists to the Department Manager.
- Assist in training new hires and reinforce standard practices; assign mentors when directed.
- Collaborate with Event Managers on staffing, equipment, and inventory coordination.
- Help maintain and track the condition of shop and event equipment.
- Keep accurate and accessible records for event returns, supply orders, and maintenance logs.
- Participate in daily planning meetings with the Department Manager and team.
- Support air gauge calibration processes and maintain related records.
- Perform physical shop and track duties alongside crew members when needed.
- Carry out special assignments and additional responsibilities as requested.
