Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with scrum teams and product owners to uphold quality standards for each release.
- Oversee the workflow and quality assurance for scheduling events and managing LiveOps setups and monitoring.
- Work across disciplines in the live environment to keep tasks progressing efficiently.
- Conduct testing of scheduled events prior to launch to prevent live incidents.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues in live game environments.
- Ensure bugs are detected and addressed before deployment to live servers.
- Manage event scheduling, including follow-ups, documentation, and status reporting.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and support continuous optimization with the operations team.
- Partner with developers, designers, and business teams to clarify requirements with a focus on testability and completeness.
- Perform targeted testing alongside developers, artists, and designers.
- Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum events.
- Define clear release and acceptance criteria for all QA-verified deliverables.
- Develop, update, and maintain test scripts, cases, scenarios, and QA documentation.
- Lead documentation of QA processes and upkeep of project records.
- Carry out assigned test plans and checklists, including daily smoke checks and new feature validations.
- Perform daily smoke testing to verify build stability.
- Execute multiple testing types, including smoke, sanity, exploratory, functional, and regression testing.
- Communicate risks and dependencies clearly to ensure visibility and resolution.
- Promptly report any QA-blocking issues.
- Consistently identify critical bugs per department standards and conduct accurate regression testing.
- Review database-related issues to confirm correct severity and priority classification.
- Maintain clean bug tracking by reducing duplicates and invalid entries.
- Publish and respond to issues in coordination with the Product Owner.
- Advocate for product quality by offering player-centric feedback on design and usability.
- Use KPIs to measure and enhance the effectiveness of QA outputs.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in game or software testing.
- Hands-on experience managing and configuring live events and LiveOps activities.
- Proven background working within Agile development environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of resolving intricate issues.
- Familiarity with software and game development life cycles, including milestone goals and QA deliverables at each phase.
- Experience testing games throughout all stages, from initial concept through live operations.
- Background in designing and executing A/B tests.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving agile settings and capable of conveying technical details across teams and external partners.
- Able to generate innovative and efficient solutions under pressure.
- Skilled at managing and prioritizing tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- Capable of assigning responsibilities and following through to completion.
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and creative problem-solving.
- Solid experience in creating, organizing, and maintaining test cases.
- Able to build a QA-aligned project plan from a development roadmap.
- Focused on performance and productivity to achieve measurable quality results.
- Proactively builds and sustains strong team relationships.
- Proficient in standard QA tools such as Jira, Testflight, and TestRail.
- Quick to learn and apply new technologies like Jenkins, Git, and Perforce.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
