Responsibilities
- Design, build, and sustain end-to-end automated UI test frameworks for the Workbench product using Playwright and TypeScript
- Work alongside developers and product managers in Agile teams to define test cases and embed automation into CI/CD workflows
- Develop and manage page object patterns, test fixtures, and shared utilities to improve test stability and ease of maintenance
- Analyze and troubleshoot test failures in collaboration with engineering teams to detect bugs and avoid regression issues
- Create and maintain a robust set of automated API tests covering the full platform ecosystem
- Verify API contract adherence, data consistency, authentication mechanisms, and error response handling across services
- Integrate API testing into deployment pipelines to enable fast feedback on service health
- Develop load and performance test scenarios to assess system behavior under normal and high-traffic conditions
- Establish performance benchmarks and collaborate with engineers to diagnose and fix performance degradation
- Support the evaluation and standardization of load testing tools used across the platform
- Design automated test strategies for AI-driven features such as agent-based workflows and AI-assisted underwriting (preferred skill)
- Investigate and apply testing methods for non-deterministic AI outputs, including validation of responses, prompt regression checks, and boundary testing
- Collaborate with AI development and product teams to define testability needs early in the development cycle
- Support the Test Automation Group, a cross-functional initiative that defines testing standards and promotes quality practices
- Advocate for effective test automation principles across teams
- Guide developers and QA peers in writing reliable and maintainable automated tests
- Create and maintain documentation, testing frameworks, and best practice guidelines to strengthen automation capabilities company-wide
