Line of Business: Personal & Commercial Banking The Teller I operates within a TD Store location, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by efficiently processing banking transactions while educating customers about TD's products and services or directing them to specialized solution partners. Depth & Scope: - Embodies TD's Brand promise by consistently demonstrating behaviors that create legendary customer interactions - Performs customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments efficiently - Manages cash transactions such as check cashing, currency verification, cash drawer balancing, and night deposit processing with high accuracy - Addresses and resolves customer inquiries using standard procedures and escalating to management when necessary - Provides lobby leadership by managing customer flow, offering warm welcomes, and providing appropriate guidance - Comprehends customer banking preferences and educates about self-service/digital options - Advocates for customers through needs-based conversations, offering financial and digital solutions - Makes sound decisions and provides timely problem resolution - Ensures compliance with operational guidelines and regulations - Verifies customer identities following authentication protocols - Balances cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash equipment - Follows safe deposit box procedures and guidelines - Maintains cash drawer and vault security - Protects confidential customer information - Understands and implements dual control principles - Follows security and audit measures to minimize potential losses - Utilizes bank tools to detect and prevent fraud - Completes required training by established deadlines Education & Experience: - High school diploma or GED - 6 months related work experience preferred - Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays - Demonstrated customer service skills - Strong organizational capabilities - Detail-oriented approach - Adaptability in fast-paced environments - Excellent communication skills Physical Requirements: Includes occasional domestic travel, frequent sedentary work, continuous task management, standard equipment operation, sound responsiveness, standing, walking, and various physical movements.
