Responsibilities
- Architect, set up, and maintain both enterprise and open-source Redis cluster environments.
- Deploy and manage Apache Kafka clusters to support real-time data streaming at scale.
- Ensure platforms are highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, and compliant with security and disaster recovery standards.
- Tune performance, forecast capacity needs, monitor health, and enhance Redis and Kafka system efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues in distributed systems.
- Oversee version upgrades, security patching, configuration control, and system lifecycle management.
- Develop and sustain CI/CD workflows using Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps principles.
- Automate infrastructure setup and application deployment using modern cloud automation tools.
- Support platform deployments in AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and OpenShift environments.
- Partner with development teams to meet caching, messaging, and streaming infrastructure needs.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational protocols for production systems.
- Enforce engineering governance, platform standards, security policies, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, security, architecture, and software engineering teams.
- Engage in Agile processes including sprint planning, backlog reviews, and technical coordination.
- Evaluate and test emerging technologies and engineering practices for platform improvement.
- Ensure adherence to data security, regulatory, encryption, anonymization, and integrity requirements.
