Responsibilities
- Develop product documentation and release notes for the SaaS product suite.
- Work with Product Management, Engineering, and QA teams to collect information on new features, enhancements, and updates for the customer-facing knowledge base.
- Coordinate with the Localization team to oversee documentation translations.
- Review the existing knowledge library to enhance quality and verify accuracy.
- Collaborate with a distributed team to drive ongoing process improvements following Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) best practices.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in a corporate technical writing role.
- Experience writing customer-facing documentation for SaaS products.
- Direct experience in customer enablement, documenting or working with enterprise IT management software, including endpoint management platforms, security integrations, or remote monitoring and management (RMM) solutions.
- Experience working within a formal content standard or editorial style guide and applying it precisely.
- Experience writing release notes or product-change documentation for software releases.
- Ability to write for a global audience and understand how sentence structure affects translation quality.
- Comfortable working with HTML and using web-based content management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and high editorial standards.
- Self-motivated, skilled at managing own work, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Enjoy explaining technical topics clearly and concisely to audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
- Welcome feedback and coaching from managers and stakeholders to develop technical writing skills and improve documentation quality.
- Confident communicating with peers at all levels, from entry-level employees to senior leadership.
- Excited by the prospect of taking ownership of work within a small team.
- Have a good sense of humor.
Nice to Have
- A bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a similar field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Familiarity with Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) or another knowledge management methodology is a strong plus.
Compensation
For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington, the base salary hiring range is $85,000 to $95,000 per year. For roles based in New York, the base salary hiring range is $85,000 to $95,000 per year. Starting pay depends on location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
