Responsibilities
- Engage in emergency operations planning and IT coordination to design and produce instructional resources
- Develop clear and engaging training content including presentations, tutorials, lesson plans, and course materials tailored to diverse audiences
- Revise and update documentation based on feedback, system updates, support tickets, and training evaluations
- Coordinate and manage training schedules in collaboration with end users and key stakeholders
- Arrange meetings with departments and third-party vendors to collect necessary technical and operational information
- Lead user group sessions or collaborative development workshops to document business process workflows
- Build cross-functional relationships across IT and business units to identify and resolve gaps in training and documentation
- Deliver end-user training using various delivery methods such as classroom instruction, individual sessions, and digital platforms
- Stay current with organizational IT systems and strategic goals relevant to emergency operations and technology initiatives
- Support technical teams in translating complex data, systems, and business processes for non-technical audiences
- Assist during the rollout and activation of new IT solutions by providing user guidance and support
- Travel as needed to state-operated facilities within Georgia for training, planning, and support activities

Other
- Travel within Georgia to department business sites is mandatory
- Must be available to work during emergency operations and remain at state or district command centers for extended periods during events like winter weather
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record is required
- Approved travel costs, including lodging, meals, and vehicle use or rental, will be reimbursed by the client
- Ability to use a personal credit card for work-related expenses, with reimbursement provided for authorized charges
- Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift as needed when supporting users or handling equipment
- Consultants receive 12 designated holidays annually when work is not permitted and time cannot be made up
- All work must be pre-approved by the client
