Responsibilities
- Collaborate with security engineers, infrastructure teams, product managers, and legal to advance key security deliverables throughout the software development and security lifecycle.
- Translate product and threat landscape visions into concrete security goals, mapping global strategy to detailed team tasks and issues, triaging field requests to focus the team, and escalating urgent items.
- Maintain comprehensive awareness of all project-related matters, including vulnerability remediation timelines, incident response obligations, and detection coverage gaps, proactively resolving issues to keep projects on track.
- Improve cross-team collaboration among security engineering, IT, legal, and customer-facing teams, aligning technical experts around shared objectives and addressing miscommunication or coordination gaps.
- Design, document, and continuously refine security processes and operational frameworks to scale programs without proportional increases in manual effort.
- Lead incident response coordination, ensuring clear ownership, timely communication, and structured post-incident reviews that drive lasting improvements.
- Work with customer-facing engineering teams to adopt, roll out, and support security-related product features and certifications.
Requirements
- Proven success managing complex security or software development programs for an enterprise software company, startup, or similar environment.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions and invest in learning security concepts, including threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud infrastructure security.
- Excellent judgment and composure in high-pressure situations, including during active security incidents.
- Creative approach to program management using lightweight frameworks that enable rapid iteration while aligning with a larger security and engineering organization.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both technical security teams and customer-facing stakeholders, with high empathy for end-user needs.
- Meticulous attention to detail, maintaining high standards for team security and product quality.
- Proven track record of building and scaling security programs and processes from the ground up.
- Must work from the country listed in this job posting and be within a commutable distance of the local Palantir office.
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance preferred.
