About the Role
Lead the design and implementation of scalable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, with a focus on Next.js and related ecosystem tools.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction of full-stack features from planning to deployment
- Mentor engineers in best practices for frontend and backend development
- Collaborate with product managers to define achievable timelines
- Ensure code quality through reviews and automated testing
- Optimize application performance and user experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies when beneficial
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems and workflows
- Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
- Enforce security standards across all layers of the stack
- Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Coordinate with design teams to implement intuitive interfaces
- Drive improvements in testing coverage and reliability
- Participate in architectural decision-making for new services
- Guide junior developers through complex technical challenges
- Promote consistency in coding standards across the team
- Monitor system health and performance metrics
- Contribute to backend APIs and database design
- Ensure accessibility compliance in frontend components
- Balance technical debt with feature development
