Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architectural design across multiple business domains including legal, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and global communications.
- Build scalable, cloud-based systems on AWS, utilizing services in compute, storage, data management, and artificial intelligence.
- Develop a strategic plan to modernize legacy applications using robust, maintainable, and future-ready technology stacks.
- Assess and propose new technologies, tools, and platforms that support business objectives.
- Establish and uphold architectural guidelines, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Drive the design and deployment of generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation solutions from concept to production.
- Work with business teams to identify and prioritize AI use cases in legal and financial processes such as contract review, due diligence, document intelligence, and compliance.
- Design end-to-end AI workflows including data collection, model deployment, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and performance evaluation.
- Ensure ethical AI practices by implementing model governance, transparency, traceability, and data protection measures.
- Plan and execute the transition of legacy systems to modern, API-driven, cloud-native platforms.
- Implement scalable backend systems using microservices and define integration layers for seamless connectivity.
- Define standards for system integrations across internal and external platforms.
- Support the adoption of modern software development methods while maintaining stability of current operations.
- Provide technical mentorship and development guidance to junior and mid-tier engineers.
- Conduct technical reviews, design workshops, and deep-dive analysis for complex problems.
- Develop reusable templates, architectural blueprints, and documentation to speed up project delivery.
- Communicate technical strategies and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders in legal and business functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and shape technology solutions.
- Present architectural plans and long-term technology strategies to executive leadership.
